Our Heart for Singles
Being a disciple means to follow the Master - to emulate His life, His values and His character, and to take on His mission and heart for the world. Jesus serves as the ultimate model for all Christians. He demonstrated to us what the abundant life should look like. It is important to note that He was never married. This is significant for us because Jesus showed us that we don’t need a marriage to feel fulfilled or to live and abundant life. Our ultimate fulfilment is found in Him!
We must never make an idol out of married life. It is not a goal to achieve. Rather, it is a blessing that God gives to various ones of us. Being single is not a defect. It simply means, we have a different pathway to steward in our lives. Both singles and married individuals are called to display God’s glory to the world.
If you are single, don’t think any less of yourself! You too can experience the abundant life that God has bought for you on the cross. Continue to run your race and see how you fit into God’s salvation story that He is unfolding in the world today.
